- Client Strategy & Direction
Fundamentally understands how Uprise clients generate profit and meet their business goals. Has an understanding of clients operating models to ensure full alignment of the digital marketing strategy and the client’s goals – in turn ensuring a long term and sustainable partnership.
The BD is accountable for ensuring alignment between the digital strategy and the clients business goals and operating model. The BD will develop and continually review the digital strategy in collaboration with the Senior CSM and Domain Leads, this requires knowledge of the appropriate service offerings and when and how to apply them.
The BD is accountable for an agreed revenue target. This revenue target is over and above any revenue currently allocated in the portfolio.
- Portfolio growth (Mine The Value) – Build and execute growth plans that find opportunities within current portfolios. Consistently challenging the delivery team to find new opportunities; within existing channels or across new service lines to meet the clients business goals and increase Uprise revenue.
- Closing and onboarding new clients – Working closely with the head of commercial, closing qualified leads and executing a digital strategy that ensures future MTV revenue.
- Leveraging relationships – Leveraging relationships built through portfolio and networks to attract referrals and new prospects. It is expected that the BD will represent Uprise at various events and create client experiences in order to help grow the brand and network with industry leaders and prospective clients.
The BD will have strong relationships with senior members of their clients. For example, CMO, CFO, CEO etc. This helps ensure we are supporting our clients to make the right decisions and we have the knowledge of any fundamental changes to their business and how we can help drive their growth forward. The BD is accountable for creating plans that will build and foster these relationships.
To be able to supercharge growth the BD must be a master at getting internal stakeholders to agree on the strategy and direction that has been set. This will be done through strong relationship management and efficient/effective communication.
